Our philosophy at Go Light Outdoors is that almost any outdoor activity is enhanced if you don't have
to worry about carrying too much weight, finding a place for everything, or food spoiling along the
way. The primary message being conveyed at this website, is that regardless of your choice of
outdoor activity, going light will increase your enjoyment level, significantly. Travelling light will
allow for increased awareness and enjoyment of the surroundings while h
eaded to your
destination. Once you get there, you'll still have energy to celebrate your arrival. Also, travelling
light decreases the risk of fatigue-related injuries and injuries from undue stress on back, legs,
knees, and feet.

Backpackers have long known the advantages of going light. Sailors often have to deal with space
limitations and lack of refrigeration. Self-support kayak expeditions require both light weight and
low bulk. Cavers may spend days underground. Families can only pack so much into the minivan!
Our proven techniques, recipes, and gear will allow almost anyone to successfully
